Helping to deliver higher quality network standards to enterprise customers across Africa
Liquid Telecom is the only pan-African fibre network operator to receive MEF CE 2.0 certification, demonstrating that we comply with the latest and highest industry standards.
The company is looking forward to sharing its views and experiences as a market leader in Carrier Ethernet standards at the upcoming MEF Seminar, the first to be held in Nairobi, Kenya.
The work of the MEF and Liquid Telecom is helping to deliver higher quality network services to enterprise and carrier customers across Africa. MEF certification proves to our customers that we can offer guarantees SLAs, network transparency, latency and a host of other performance indicators.
As part of our ongoing support for this initiative, Liquid Telecom is sponsoring the MEF Seminar in Nairobi to encourage other telecoms operators and vendors to get on-board and help raise network standards across Africa.
The event will bring together leading experts to discuss the latest Carrier Ethernet standards and how they are benefitting enterprise and carrier customers, including insights from Ben Roberts, Liquid Telecom Group CTO and CEO of Liquid Telecom Kenya, as well as Chris Mwangi, Lead IP Engineer at Liquid Telecom Kenya.
The seminar will be held on Monday June 6. 2016 at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Nairobi, Kenya. Registration is free if you are interested in coming along.

What is Carrier Ethernet?
Ethernet is one of the most widely used network technologies for local area networks (LAN), which carriers such as Liquid Telecom utilise to provide network services for residential, business and government customers. Due to its ubiquity and popularity, Carrier Ethernet is being increasingly used outside the LAN and into the wide area network (WAN) and service provider networks.
What is MEF?
MEF is the global industry alliance and defining body for Carrier Ethernet. Its mission is to accelerate the worldwide adoption of Carrier-class Ethernet networks and services. It conducts a comprehensive testing programme for the services and products of both vendors and operators.
